There's also the social aspect. When I was a kid, we exchanged Commodore 64 games, and we played them together. Now, a kid can exchange games, play with a friend, AND play with kids all over the world.

I'm a big fan of video games. (I just wish my kid would grow up already, so I could play my old games, because the zombies I started killing on Resident Evil 4 years ago probably need to die again.)
