It's always great when the MDD army readers get to the bottom of the random questions I occasionally ask here in this blog. (Great because they end up doing my job for me.)
I posed the question back in this post that if there are supposed to be 13 episodes of Jack's Big Music Show, where are the last two? Fortunately two readers have come to the rescue and got the straight dope about what's going on in the clubhouse. First, Bill from TVforTots.com contacted some people he knows at Noggin/Nick, who told him that a new episode "King of Swing" featuring musician Buddy Guy will air on February 6th.
Then MDD reader Andrew contacted Spiffy Pictures (producers of JBMS) who told him that the 12th episode will indeed be in February, the 13th will be in April, and another 13 episodes will air in the fall. He also asked about merchandise, and was told that there will be Jack-related items in the stores before next Christmas.
So big thanks to Andrew and Bill for getting the answers (and making the phone calls I should have made). [Insert "you sure are swell" comment here.]

That is great news in this household! I swear if we have to watch the "Space Explorer/Opera Singer" episode one more time, we might go crazy.
Who am I kidding, when my little girl starts dancing to the opening theme music and saying "c'mon dada dance", it's priceless :)

Yippee! ;) This is the only show that I can show my 14-month-old while I'm cooking dinner and not have her get bored and come into the kitchen. I peek out into the living room and she doesn't even sit down for JBMS, she stands and/or dances the whole time! Can't wait to buy me, uh, I mean her, a plush Mel (complete with drum kit, maybe?)...

I can think of many possibilities for spiffy and noggin to market for JBMS. CDs, Dvds, drum kits (I sure hope so), and ofcourse plushes. Right now I am trying to come up with a JBMS 1st birthday party. Ofcourse there will be lots of instruments including bongos and shakey eggs!

Just wanted to say that I went searching for my percussion ensemble group (Minnetonka) on google and your site came up as one of the many talking about our DJ Shadow performance. I was the girl playing the piano/vibes for those songs. Let me just say, it was amazing working on that piece, though we spent some long practices on it trying to get it all down. I'm really glad that so many people enjoyed our performance!

MY DAUGHTER IS A HUGE FAN OF THE RAINY DAY EPISODE OF JACK'S FEATURING CATHY RICHARDSON.
I AM TRYING TO BUY A CD OF HER MUSIC THAT WOULD INCLUDE HER DRIP DROP SONG. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

About the records of Cathy Richardson--they're on Amazon.com.

Hooray for the Moxi (tvo) box; I have 8 of Jacks Big Music Shows recorded. And would gladly go out and purchase them if they were for sale (it would free up the tvo). My two year old grandson is so precious, but is side splitting with his dancing and twirling, and you should hear him yodel, what a hoot.

I'm dying for some JBMS merchandise, John, but isn't that stuff copyrighted?
I disagree with some of the above posters. My toddler is addicted to the King of Swing episode.

I'm pretty sure you can't just make stuff up using copyrighted characters and sell it on eBay, but it's awesome nonetheless. I blogged about it today. And I doubt Spiffy will come after him for whatever he gets for it.
